The fish won’t know what hit ’em!
The Okuma Azores Blue 4000 and X-Factor Salmon
Combo is a durable and versatile combo great for
freshwater fishing. The heavy-duty Okuma X-Factor Softbait Rod
perfectly matches the smooth and lightweight Okuma Azores Spinning
Reel. Now you’re all set to catch Salmon and Trout.
The Reel
The new Okuma Azores Blue 4000 Saltwater Spinning
Reel is packed with more features and now comes in a
striking blue finish. Rigid die-cast aluminium body, side plate and
rotor, precision machine-cut pinion gear, machined aluminium handle
arm and spool and coated with CRC.
But within the interior is where Azores gains massive separation
from competitors. Dual anti-reverse systems, massive oversized
spool shaft and grease-packed stainless steel bearings deliver
incredible strength while Carbon Mechanical Stabilisation System
stops electrolysis in its tracks. Perfect for boat fishing, jigging
or live baiting!
Dual Force Drag System
DFD incorporates both surfaces of the spool to maximise high-end
drag pressure, efficiency and overall smoothness. Mounted in the
top of the spool and protected by the Hydro Block system is a
multi-disc felt drag system that works in conjunction with a
secondary drag system that is mounted under the spool. Even
pressure is applied to both surfaces of the spool for maximum
stability and significantly increased drag output compared to
traditional single drag systems.
High Performance Bearing (HPB)
6 high performance ball bearings provide Azores with outstanding
smoothness and reliability in saltwater fishing environments. The
balls used on the HPB’s are constructed from the same high-grade
stainless steel material as the bearing housing.
Dual Anti-Reverse System
The Azores features Okuma’s trusted Quick Set anti-reverse system
and a backup multi-stop anti reverse system for increased
durability and reliability in all fishing conditions.
AlumiLite Construction (ALC)
Rigid die cast aluminum body, side plate and rotor: AlumiLite
Construction incorporates Okuma’s rigid aluminum body technology,
alum frames are stronger and more rigid and are capable of
withstanding more pressure and torque than traditional graphite
frames. These lightweight, die cast alum frames provides more
precise tolerances for precision gear aligment, maximum stability
and ultimate durability.
The Rod
The Okuma X-Factor Salmon Rod is a high
performance rod composed of Tubular E-Glass and Graphite blanks
resulting in superb power and sensitivity. One of the most popular
ranges with Fuji reel seats, the X-Factor range caters to a large
part of the New Zealand market offering second to none performance
and value!
